Why Ikarishipping? -- Oh yes, because you all should know my pure hatred for alot of "opposites attract" pairings. Actually, I think this one is really interesting. I've never seen this genre of "opposites attract" before - simply because it's like.. Satoshi's friend (who is a girl) and his silent, cold, rival! I'm really addicted to stalking this pairing everywhere - even on forums, sometimes. Tons of fanart and fanfics and ideas/theories of this pairing are spilling everywhere, and it's become one of my big-time OTPs of all time. Usually I like 'ships with a decent amount of interaction.. say, Orangeshipping (Kasumi & Kenji) or Advancedshipping/Contestshipping (Satoshi & Haruka, Shuu & Haruka), but HAHA - this one is just way out in left field, isn't it? I really like the idea of it. It has this.. sugary-sweet feeling to it, even if one of them is a cold-hearted asshole. It's like putting the cheery cheerleader with the badass boy - a strange, wild disaster. When I first saw them, haha, I thought the idea would be adorable, but what REALLY set everything on fire was.. when I saw Hikari blast at Shinji in Hyota Gym... I just fell out of my chair. Call me crazy, but I thought that was incredibly cute. They might argue and not get along well, but... I think with some time, they'll begin to respect one another. Only time will tell, y'know? They also compliment eachother in terms of clothing: Purple, Blue, & Black!!Site names?! -- I had a couple ideas for the name of this site, but they were really weird, and i'm always into naming my sites after songs that the subject reminds me of. I almost named this "Kiss the Girl" - because Ashley Tisdale had been playing on Winamp for quite some time. Then I had this crazy idea of naming it: "Grand Theft Autumn" because the song (by Fall Out Boy), is like.. THE IKARISHIPPING THEME!! Buuut yeah. I decided not to go out in waaay left field again, so I just named it "Ikarishipping", and besides, the ship name by itself is pretty interesting.
Layout -- Textures were from Of the Sky, which is now gone ;_;. Screenshots are from Serebii.net and official artwork from Wikipedia.org. Made in Photoshop 7.0, Notepad, and ripped off of alot of my other previous layouts from Namine.org.
